Langston Sanchez is a born and raised New Yorker whose work as an artist sits firmly in the Cinéma Vérite style focusing on marginalized people and the spaces around them. As an educator, Langston has worked for Maysles Documentary Center, Transformative Culture Project, Reel Works, the Churchill School, and the Apollo Theater. As a technician, Langston has worked at the Apollo Theater, Sundance Film Festival, DOC NYC, and Rooftop Films. In 2016 Langston was granted the Princess Grace Award in film and in 2013 was a Tribeca Film Fellow. Langston's work has shown at the Tribeca Film Festival, Maysles Documentary Center, the Five College Film Festival, and the Hampshire College Main Gallery. When not making films, Langston is probably found watching or playing a sport.
